I don't think we, as a fandom, talk enough about the trauma that Sirius most definitely had after escaping Askaban. This man spent twelve years in a place designed to break people's minds and spirits knowing that the people he loves and are still alive (Remus and Harry) think him a cold blooded killer who betrayed his most beloved friends. Remus wanting to keep a distance in Grimmauld Place cause god he can't do this all again it's just too painful, watching the man he lov-used to love more than anyone else slowly fall apart from his nightmare and his lack of sleep. The little stares when Sirus would start trembling after Molly raised her voice or the time he had a panic attack and started shouting, "NO PLEASE STAY AWAY" cause the lights went out. Until one night he was waking outside Sirius room and just heard him yelling screams of pure anguish begging for someone to let him go and he just wordlessly curled up in the bed with him and hugged him until he felt Sirius breaths calming down and his eyes slowly close

James meeting Regulus' friends for the first time as his official boyfriend was definitely a big thing for everyone involved except Regulus. Sirius already knew Barty and Evan from when they would hang out at the Black household so he just decided to terrorise the living shit out of James telling him that they're "super protective" "super scary" and that "their approval means the world to Reggie". Remus just decided to go along and presented Pandora (who he knew from a study group) as the ultimate boss of mean girls. And when James almost shaking walked into the coffee shop they had arranged to meet up what he saw was Barty putting salt in Evans coffee, Evan drinking and spitting said coffee all over Pandora and her just throwing little rocks at him

I am so obsessed with the idea of Remus having a really hard time coming to terms with his sexuality and going through this difficult journey of self-discovery all by himself. I mean he always kinda knew that his disinterest in girls was kinda weird but when he turned 15 he started to realise that the way his eyes would follow different boys he found pretty was the same way James' eyes lingered on Lily. He already was difficult to love in his mind,being a werewolf and all, he was afraid that asking his best friends to embrace that additional part of himself would be too much. So he became distant, he closed himself off, and the situation became even more difficult for him when he caught himself staring at Sirius for a bit too long. All of that dramatic, serious, self discovery stuff and James fucking Potter had the audacity of just explaining "oi fellas I think I like boys and girls by the way" on a random Monday afternoon like it was NOTHING

Peter is a plant mum - he buys plants constantly to the point where they don't even fit in the dorm, and he gives all of them names. He will literally be late for important social events because he didn't water his plants, a process which takes like a good 30 minutes. Mary and Lily kissed for the first time for "practice" before Lily went on a first date with a Ravenclaw boy. The Slytherin skittles are Ghibil fans and one time they all watched "How's Moving Castle" together and Regulus fucking CRIED. Dorcas and Evan couldn't stop laughing, Pandora was just hugging him, Barty was absolutely shocked and Regulus was just cursing them all through his tears

Marlene is constantly doodling and drawing. She's one of the most talented artists Hogwarts had ever seen (which is so unfair according to her friends because how is she sportsy and artsy??) and it drove the girls wiiild. Her converse always had doodled stars, her notebooks were full of sketchss, and her hands would always end up decorated with little drawings by the end of the day. But no one knew about the one sketchbook Marlene had that worked for her like a diary - that's where she drew her thoughts and tried to express her feelings. This is how her notebook progressively got filled with drawings of the Slytherin girl with the dark eyes. At first Malrnene's drawigs of Dorcas were rushed, angry, intense but after some time the lines got softer, and an adoration, a gentleness could be sensed in the way Marlene drew the curve of her neck, her earrings, her beautiful hair

Sirius and Regulus weren't allowed to read muggle stories when they were younger for OBVIOUS reason, and they never really felt the need to anyway. Until one day, Regulus got his hands on an old book filled with muggle fairytales, and he was absolutely captivated. He and Sirius would stay up at night under the covers with just a small light reading the same stories over and over again. Little Reggie was terrified of the story of "The Little Mermaid" because he couldn't bear the thought of Sirius leaving him and their house for someone he loved (like the Little Mermaid left her family under the sea for the prince). Sirius would always reassure him that that would never happen, that he would never love anyone more than his little brother. As Regulus was drowing in his final moments, he couldn't help but think about the irony of the situation, Sirius left him, and now Regulus was going back to his place in the water

The Slytherin Skittles got really worried at some point by how much caffeine Regulus costumes regularly, so one day Dorcas secretly gave him a decaff coffee, and I kid you not Regulus almost died that day. He couldn't keep his eyes open,he didn't really understand what was going on around him,he didn't make any sarcastic remarks (which had th entirety of Hogwarts l even the teachers lowkey worried for him) and Evan swears he saw him falling asleep on top of the mirror while brushing his teeth.

I truly wonder what was going through Sirius' mind when he learned about his mother's passing. I assume a big part of him felt vindicated, happy, free, maybe even a bit detached and indifferent (after all he hadn't seen his mother in a while) but I have to wonder if a part of him grieved the mother he never had, the love he never got. A part of me wonders if he got overwhelmed by the unfairness of his childhood,  the acceptance that was so expected for the people around him and was never given to him, the parts of Sirius that broke and would always be a bit shattered because of the way his mother raised him. What if a small,tiny part of him, the part that would forever be a child desperately wanting his family's support, couldn't help but remember the small moments of protectiveness and gentleness his mother showed to him before everything, the way she hugged him before his first year at Hogwarts , the way she cleaned his bruises even though he knows she is the one that caused them

Dorcas and Marlene both came out as lesbians around the same time. The result was that every sapphic at Hogwarts was having a FIELD TRIP. Ladies were fawning over them,writing love letters, sending gifts. Marlene and Dorcas because of their ridiculous rivalry (and sexual tension) with each other ended showing off whenever one of them got a confession or a conquest (yes, they were a little bit of a fuckgirls let them be). Both of them couldn't understand why this particular game of theirs annoyed them considerably more than the others, until at one party Marlene honest to God full on made out with a girl while locking eyes with Dorcas. THE SEXUAL TENSION COULD BE CUT WITH A KNIFE EVEN PETER WAS SWEATING AND HES ACE

So we all know that Walburga would get absolutely furious whenever she saw Sirius receiving a letter from an owl,knowing its from one of his "dirty,traitor friends" so she would get furious at him and punish him even though it wasn't really his fault. Sirius never really told the rest of the Marauders cause he didn't want to worry them, but they understood that they should only write to him sparsely. One time, James sent a whole ass broom as a gift to Sirius, and it arrived a few days after Sirius had run away from the house. Fortunately, Regulus took notice of the owl before his parents did and decided to send it back to the Potter household, not without writing a letter, first absolutely cursing Potter. James didn't expect Regulus to bring the broom back let alone write and he got so shocked by just how beautiful Siriu's little brother's handwriting is and his flowery choice of words even while writing an angry letter. And BOOM letter correspondence and then they fell in love

Regulus absolutely ADORES cats, but because of his father's allergies, he never got to have one of his own when he was young. When he moved in with James, the boy was so SMITTEN that the moment Reggie turned up in the house with a small kitty and looked at James all full of hope and excitement he couldn't say NO to keeping the cat. That however ended with James having to think up a BILLION different excuses to keep Sirius outside of his and Reggie's apartments "oh you know the electricity is broken" "why not go out the weather is so lovely" (it was indeed raining). Regulus found it all endlessly amusing and even more amusing to him was the absolute look of horror and betrayal in Siriu's face when he saw the little black kitten for the first time

Remus,Lily,Dorcas,Regulus, and Pandora have a little book club, and they just meet up and get all pretentious about different books it's honestly amazing. At some point however it did evolve into just monthly gossip and roasting sessions where everyone was telling their relationship drama and getting feedback "For the last time Lupun I don't wanna hear about you and my brother fucking". "Dorcas, I think you should stay prioritising yourself and expressing your desires to Marlene."No, Pandora, I understand where you're coming from, but I think you should break up with him already." Said partners have tried multiple times to overhear on these conversations, and they always end up getting found out and hexed

James Potter had the most embarrassing musically phase. He did every trend conceivable with a lot of passion, too, and those videos are honestly Remu's favourite things in the world. He planned ahead (because he's a mastermind like that when it comes to embarrassing his friends) and downloaded every single musically James ever made before he deleted his account when he suddenly developed a sense of self presentation and embarassement. Whenever James pissies Remus or tries to argue with him about something Remus mutters a song James has made a musically too or says "Reggyyyy I have something so interesting ro show you" in the most annoying tone and James just caves.

Sometimes, especially after particularly difficult and draining transformations, Remus would end up delirous, burning with a fever and drenched in sweat. It was in one of those instances during their 5th year that Sirius stayed with him in the nursery, wanting to just keep an eye and take care of him. Remus was so sick and dazed that he didn't quite know if he was in a dream or not, especially when he opened his eyes and he saw Sirius, his Sirius, softly caressing his face and pressing a cold towel on his forehead. He couldn't tell if he was awake or not when he grabbed Sirius and just barely let his lips touch the other boy's just before letting his eyes close. Remus of course didn't remember any of this the next day which is why he couldn't explain why Sirius couldn't look him in the eyes and was o insistent on bringing up his new girlfriend in their conversations all the time

Peter and James definitely had a bet going on about how long it would take for Wolfstar to tell them that they were dating. Remus and Sirius thought they were being so slick and secretive and when Peter stopped yelling "OH YOU JUST COULDNT WAIT TWO MORE WEEKS", James told them that they had indeed heard them fucking like a month into their relationship

I simultaneously love and hate imagining the Black brothers before the world around them tore them apart. When they were just little kids who weren't yet aware of the brutality that existed all around them - Sirius and Regulus running around, playing at being grown wizards, drawing, trying to cook, annoying the house elves. And yes, sometimes they fought, because that's what siblings do, but whenever Regulu's eyes welled up with tears, Sirius always caved in because no matter what, his love for Regulus was much bigger than his anger

Tough,strong and emotionless Regulus Black, who is TERRIFIED of insects and can not act calmly when he sees one. When the Slytherin Skittles first found ut about Regulu's massive fear, (1st year Barty showed excitedly his two best friends the cool spider he found and while Evan was intrigued,Regulus almost burst into tears) they could not get over it and it is still a huge inside joke they kind of threaten Regulus with "Oh yeah Reggie such a big scary man, oh is that a spider? "WHAT WHERE - OH FUCK YOU DORCAS"

James has a promise ring that Regulus gave him. After they broke up, he kept it safe in one of his drawers, never fully able (or willing) to get rid of it. He never intended to wear it again, he married, had a kid for Christ's sake but once he got the news about Regulus' death he started wearing it again in a chain and kissing it whenever he though of Reggie. Everyone expected Lily to be angry, devastated, at least a little bit jealous, but all Lily did was calm down James every time he woke up from a nightmare crying , screaming Regulus' name

I know this is a common headcannon among the fandom, but Remus curses SO MUCH. He doesn't even need to be angry or smth he just curses. Theyre super creative and graphic too not basic, everyday things like fuck (once he called a guy who tried to grope Lily "a failed abortion and a massive, dissappointing cunt".) It was torture to get that habit under control after Harry was born - Lily and James had a jar in their home and everytime "uncle Remie" cursed in front of the baby he had to put in a dollar. They ended up buying Harry one of his first toys with said money because Remus just cursed THAT MUCH

Regulus' funeral was the first time Sirius saw his family again after he moved out. He thought he could handle it, he had to for Regulus, but what he couldn't handle was them standing emotionless, impassive, looking almost bored, as the coffin of his brother, the man who always tried so hard to please his parents, was being lowered to the ground. And Sirius just snapped. Grief came crashing down on him and he broke down crying,yelling that it was their fault, that they had brainwashed Regulus and set him up for this, that they were heartless monsters who cared for nothing but their legacies. He stayed at Regulus' grave long after the funeral, hugging the stone, knowing it was the first time he had hugged his brother since they were 14. Knowing that he never hated Regulus, he never could hate Regulus, that was his younger brother after all, the boy who looked at him with stats in his eyes, and knowing that Regulus died thinking his older brother despised him

Regulus is a little shit and when he and James started hooking up, he always downplayed how much he liked him. Imagine HOW MORTIFIED he was when James opened his sketchbook to look at a drawing of a pretty flower he glanced at and ended up finding numerous sketches Regulus had done of James,some of them even dating back to before the two had started being romantically involved. Not only that, there was also so much delicacy,details, and softness to the way Regulus captured the glint of Jame's eyes,his dimples,his messed up hair. Regulus tried to convince him that "it was just practice Potter" and that "you just always happened to be there Potter" but James had the most SMUG LITTLE GRIN on his face for the rest of the day
