I want you all to know that I might mostly portray Penni as a sweet girl who can be snarky sometimes, but that's just how she acts rather than how she is. Obviously, she's like that to family genuinely, but this girl wants to be a politician and has been trained in weaponry since she was a child.
She can and will manipulate, lie, and fight.
To follow on from my last post, Nimirylov as promised.
Unless being an alien fish thing counts, in which case, still no, because it's not a secret.
I've said before that Nimirylov has the combined vibes of Odysseus and Penelope so, yeah.
No, he's a prince. He's well behaved, and even if he wasn't, he probably wouldn't be jailed.
Yes. No questions asked. 100%.
Yeah, this makes sense.
No... he has a husband.
No... he works with politics.
I can see this, kind of.
Sure. He got hit by the alien fish equivalent of a bus. Told no one though.
I decided to go on headcanon generator because I've done a lot with incorrect quotes generator. Here's the results for Penni and my opinions on how canon they are.
False. Bill has literally already invaded her dreams in the one thing I've written for this au.
APPARENTLY SO! ACCORDING TO EVERY FUCKING GENERATOR!?
Hmm... I'm gonna say no here.
THIS CAME UP AGAIN?!?
Y'know what? Yeah, sure. That's kind of funny actually.
She made a deal with Bill within five minutes tops, despite being told her whole life to not make deals irresponsibly. So, no.
This was already going to be canon since I found out axolotls are practically deaf and the alien fish species is actually based on axolotls. So, they're not deaf but they are naturally loud to get past a slight lack of hearing.
Sure. Can't really say any more on this, it makes sense.
100% canon. She's not fluent in English.
Just some incorrect quotes with the context I've made up for them. Nothing to see here.
Penni, daughter of Ford "shaves with fire" Pines, does not see any other reason than for consumption as to why shaving cream exists.
Penni, realising that she made a bad call with her deal with Bill, and about to enter her paranoia and insomnia arc.
Penni, entering her paranoia and insomnia arc. Dipper doesn't want to admit he's concerned for her.
She's going into politics. Liking sarcasm is the least problematic thing to do.
Penni doesn't have a womb, the same as the rest of the alien fish species. So, she has no reason to understand period products.
Teaching Penni more English is... going well.
Dipper spent too long distrusting Penni (probably about 3 days) to then just get along with her.
Penni took it literally. She loves sarcasm, doesn't understand when it's targeted towards her.
Penni finally thinking that she's actually getting along with Dipper. She's so happy.
Tell me about fish pregnancy.
Sorry it took me so long to answer this ask! I saw it right before I had to go to work, but I've been thinking of the right way to answer it for my whole shift.
This is going to be a long one, so, I've put it under read more.
The alien fish pregnancy lasts about 15 months. I know in a previous post, the short drabble I made from Ford's perspective, I said that it only lasted a year, but that was on purpose! That was Ford's misconception of it because that's only how long he was actually aware of it. Nimirylov never clarified that that wasn't right.
So, the first nine months progress pretty much the same as a human pregnancy would, but the growth is slightly slower, so it's not as obvious as quickly. Then, the next three months after that is when the ferality starts to set in, and the grip on reality starts to loosen. The pregnant person is mostly driven by their own instincts at this point. Finally, the last three months are completely feral and detached from reality. The fetus can now send their own instincts to the parent, which is a lot stronger than their own, but also a lot more chaotic. Since it is a literal fetus. Most of the time, pregnant people in their three months are kept on a semi house arrest. Not that they tend to notice.
Specifically when it comes to Ford carrying Penni, though. He was slightly delayed in becoming feral because, firstly, he didn't know it was coming and therefore tried to fight it off and, secondly, human minds don't have as strong instincts as the fish alien people. So, when Ford started becoming feral, he was extremely embarrassed over it whilst Nimirylov and Nimirylov's family were all relieved, because finally he's acting how he should be.
Basically, Ford would do something like steal something of Nimirylov's to have it with him or headbutt people (because that is one image I've been unable to get out of my head. Ford, just headbutting people) without thinking, then start apologising profusely, and everyone around him is like, "No, we're actually glad you're doing this because it shows everything is progressing normally!"
Additionally, I considered going down an angsty route and have Ford constantly be craving human foods that he's unable to get in that dimension. However, I decided that since there's already a lot of body horror potential with the whole fetus mind control thing, I'd go down the crack route for cravings. So Ford is constantly craving something inedible. It's the first feral thing that happened to him because it was there not long after he discovered he was pregnant. Nimirylov could turn away for like five seconds, only to turn back and see Ford trying to eat a rock. Ford also just named random elements of the periodic table that he had a craving to eat.
Finally, the birth was obviously a c-section, as all of the alien fish births are. None of them have wombs since gender and sex are very loose in that dimension. So, how do babies grow? In a sort of egg thing. That's why the pregnancies take so long. The babies only come out slightly more developed than human babies (they can like, see colour from the moment they were born, that sort of only slight development). However, the body has to build this very thin egg covering for the child to grow inside of safely. So, when the babies are born, they have to be pulled out in the egg thing, then it's peeled off of them.
There's definitely more that I could say here, but I can't think of it off the top of my head, and the additional details I can think of, I can't actually conceptualise into words. Most of this shouldn't make sense scientifically because I didn't do any scientific research, I just made it up. However, biology is my favourite science by far, so there might be some sense to it.
My problem is that I don't know what to post about the Washed Away au. I mean, I want to talk about it all the time, and I have so much to talk about. But! It's so much that each bit is locked behind a door in my mind and needs to be unlocked by someone asking the right things that make me go off on a tangent.
This is not going to happen in the Washed Away au, but I might do a crack oneshot of it at some point. Just an au of the au, y'know?
I can't stop imagining if Ford was pregnant again when he came out the portal. Like, he doesn't know, Nimirylov doesn't know, nobody knows. He's just slowly acting more strange as the timeline of the show goes on.
Weridmaggedon is the part of the Washed Away au I'm most looking forward to writing. It is also the part I don't have planned. However, just know that Penni will have a lot of parallels with Ford during it.
I think I've already mentioned on here (I keep forgetting what I've posted versus what I've just told my friend), that a lot of what happens in canon can't happen in the Washed Away au because of Ford being more responsible. However, that doesn't mean Ford is entirely responsible and so, a minor spoiler to show you all.
Ford still gives Mabel a crossbow in The Last Mabelcorn. Just, instead of saying,
"It's okay to give children weapons, right?" He says,
"You're old enough to have been trained to use weapons, right?"
Now, this is because he and Nimirylov trained Penni on how to use weapons. Ford doesn't realise that's not normal, even for Nimirylov's dimension, let alone in his.
Angst is my soul and crack ships are my blood.
Official post for me revealing that I've genuinely considered putting Fiddlestan in the Washed Away au because I love that ship. Unfortunately, I want it to be more similar to canon than that. Alas, I'll make Fiddlestan content eventually.
The last ask I answered opened up the floodgates to the lore I've been working on for Nimirylov's family. So, now, I feel the need to share information about the sister of his I briefly mentioned.
She's older by a few years but, 1. She abdicated the role of heir and 2. She's very irresponsible and nobody wanted her to have power over the kingdom.
She shows up to visit every few years, and each time comes with more chaos. The specific reason as to why Ford dislikes her is because she taught little Penni how to make a whirlpool. Ford was very unhappy about a 7/8 year old Penni running around making whirlpools and causing chaos everywhere. Nimirylov wasn't happy either, but he has been dealing with his sister's antics since childhood.
Just want everyone to know that Nimirylov does not know that Ford's actual name is Stanford. Ford just introduced himself as Ford when they first met and just... never mentioned his technically real name.
Penny, how much do you know about your dad’s family? Does he talk about them often?
Hmm, dad's family? That's an interesting question. After all, I've never met them, so they're not really any relevance to me. They're strangers to me even if they are important to dad.
So, no, dad doesn't talk about them often, and I don't know much about them because I never really asked. I mean, I know he's got a twin brother and another brother. I'm pretty sure at least one of them has a name beginning with "S"... He's also got a mother and a father, which is apparently the standard for humans.
I know dad and pa talk about dad's family, but it's just never really been something I've cared too much about.
Also, dad looks kind of sad every time we see pa's side of the family, and they do something nice, so I don't think dad's family was very nice. That makes me want to know even less about them.
Although, looking back on it, dad used to look slightly jealous every time pa's sister came to visit. When pa and auntie were having fun and getting along, dad always got a weird look in his eyes. Now, he's just annoyed whenever she comes round but that's a long story...
So, in summary, no, to both of your questions but just because of my own disinterest.
Ignoring the fact that if dad wanted to tell me about them, he still would bring them up. The same way he does with science...
Sincerely,
Princess Penni Pines.
I am once again, humbly asking for people who follow me and like the Washed Away to send me asks. I have lots of free time next week and am completely free on Monday so I need something interesting to occupy my time.
Penni, what's the most interesting thing you learned from Ford about humanity in terms of its history and society.
OOH, OOH, OOH! I love this question! It's so easy to answer too!
Obviously, my favourite thing, which I find the most interesting about humans, is food 2.0, aka, "drinking liquids".
Dad told me to stop calling it food 2.0 but I know I'm right on this one! For once, I'm right and my dad is wrong (just don't tell him or pa I said that). It has different flavours, it can have calories, and people have to consume it daily. Therefore, it's food 2.0.
There's so many different types that I would just love to try. Dad says his favourite is something called "coffee," which he has with lots of sugar.
However, what I find most intriguing is that there's adult only versions of this food 2.0. Imagine if food had adult only versions!? Not to mention that there's different types of this adult only version! So much variety. I'd get dizzy if I had to pick one of these things to consume.
I'm no scientist like my dad, but I'd love to do some sort of experiment with these adult only drinks. More of a social experiment, really... on myself. I'm just too curious!
Not to mention, then I could document it like how my dad does in his journal. I find his journal really cool, actually. (Definitely don't tell him I said that.)
Thanks for listening to my excited ramble about humans and their strange varieties of food 2.0,
Princess Penni Pines.
This question isn't targeted towards a specific character because I don't know who I would ask it to, but how does Ford breathe in Nirmylov's dimension? I mean, his species is an aquatic kind, so they live underwater, right? If so, then how is Ford living a stable life under water?
If Nimirylov's kingdom isn't underwater, then I apologize. I just assumed that it was based off of the information you gave on his species 😅
Ooh, I've been waiting for someone to ask this question because it's something I've thought a lot about. It is underwater, but at first, I'm imagining that Ford had some sort of thing that allowed him to survive universes like that for short periods of time. After all, there would've been lots of places like that in the multiverse.
Then, he found out (aka Nimirylov gave it to him) that there was a coral that helped with breathing underwater. So, for a time, as long as Ford ate that frequently enough, he'd be fine.
Finally, though, because that coral was never meant to be a permanent solution (it was basically a medication, and I don't think Ford would like medication), Ford gets surgery. It just allows him to breathe under water, and, because I explained this to my friend multiple times, it doesn't damage his ability to breathe on land.
I'm not actually going to do anything with this idea, but it's been slightly infecting my brain.
My favourite one of the more mainstream gravity falls aus is Drifting Stars. So, combine that with my Washed Away au. Ford and Nimirylov are on their nice date when suddenly a portal opens up, and a human girl about their daughters age falls out. She's clearly not fine, passed out, and neither of them could even imagine just leaving her like that...
Mabel wakes up in a strange cottage. All she can remember is the flash of white after letting go of the button. Then walks in a weird aquatic man followed by someone who she mistakes for Stan at first.
Fun fact for the Washed Away au (or at least I found it fun); even though Ford is a lot angrier at Stan than he was in canon, they actually get along better.
Mostly because Ford didn't plan on kicking Stan out.
So, even though I can't start the fic for a while, I've gotten it all plotted out. It's going to be entirely from Ford's perspective, and it's going to go from "Not What He Seems" to "The Last Mabelcorn."
Why not all the way up to finale? Because I need to completely rewrite it. "Dipper and Mabel vs the Future" will go completely different, which means the rift will have to crack in some other way. So, a complete Weirdmaggedon overhall. Not to mention, it's going to be split perspective, so, it gets its own fic.
For now, though, until I figure out more details you can ask questions about what will happen. Even if I won't give all the details because of spoilers. It's loosely drafted enough for me to be confident in answering questions, though.
WHAT THE FUCK DID PENNI DO???
Help. I was trying to do incorrect quotes for Mabel, Dipper, and Penni, but Penni just keeps getting called some variant of a hoe. Why does the generator (and Mabel and Dipper in the generator) think that about her? What is this telling me?!

Why the fuck did this one come up?
No, no, no, Nimirylov. Stop. Please.
This is your warning post that I am going to be spam posting incorrect quotes for the Washed Away au.
I'm still going to write the oneshot of Penni's deal with Bill, but I kind of forgot that I had not thought of any of the exact details of how it goes down. So, for now, whilst I'm still struggling with it, just think of "We'll Be Fine" in Epic the Musical.
Penni has been giving me major Telemachus vibes ever since I started thinking deeply about her, and Bill is just bending the truth the whole time. Honestly, though, that song (and Legendary) have been the only songs I've listened to whilst thinking out how the deal goes down.
I was thinking about the last post I've made, so I've decided that I want anyone and everyone's ideas on what Ford would've and wouldn't have taught his hybrid daughter about humanity! The funnier the answer, the better!
I like thinking about what Ford taught Penni about human culture because it's such a mixed bag.
Like, yes, obviously, he taught her about the holocaust. He was raised Jewish and that's an important part of history that his child should know. No, he did not tell her what rain is.
Yes, he told her about how humans drink water because they don't live in it and can't absorb water through gills like she does. No, he did not tell her what middle names are.
