Alright so I'm currently creating a huge project with an effort to at least semi-fill 23 original towns/cities with ocs. With this project, I want to create a lot of representation for people who don't ever really get any and if/when they do it's usually superficial or a stereotype. So far I've been focusing on black representation but I want to expand my reaches!! So if you have a certain type of person you don't see represented well in any media, feel free to tell me about it so I can do research and create an oc off of it !! (It's a modern medieval-fantasy world with tons of inhuman species as well)

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone has fun and has a safe evening : )

This is a map of the Mirrorlands- eventually I'll put up information posts to give a rundown of each City!

The largest City is Star City, while the smallest is the Southern Mountain City~

Inktober day 24- In Kawatoshi City, the shorelines along the river have shallows to allow ease in entering and exiting the water. With the majority population being River Sirens, the rivers are a primary way of fast inter-city commuting.

Inktober day 22- Sometimes textiles don't turn out as soft as you'd hope lol - Star City is the leading producer of textiles and fabrics in the Mirrorlands; Especially for Tophani and Pridatchin, this is a big source of pride!

Inktober day 19! The fruit that grows in the groves around Mount Embra is always high quality and very tasty!

Inktober Day 16! Not sure if the Mirrorlands has anything like angels yet, but Zoriah would definitely qualify as an angel type person lol

For context, Zoriah is the Mirrorlands goddess of life! She has stained glass hair and wings that have constantly shifting colors. Her twin, Melodia, is the goddess of death!

Inktober Day 14- Nautilus City is located underwater and based off of the lost city of Atlantis! The palace where the City Leaders live is the closest the Mirrorlands has to a legitimate castle lol

Inktober Day 13- The Southern Mountain City rises and sinks depending on the weather. In windy or stormy conditions, the City will sit low in the air, taking shelter in the surrounding mountains, then when the level clears, it'll rise to its usual altitude.

Inktober Day 11- The Vampire Clans wander as nomads in the plains, trading with each other and the rest of the Cities. Though they have the option of sending their children to Council City to learn, they mostly educate within the clans. The Vampire Clans have their own jurisdiction outside of the rule of the United Cities

Inktober Day Six- Dragonites are beings in the Mirrorlands that are able to shapeshift from a bipedal form to a quadruped 'Dragon' form. The Quad form is about the same mass as their biped form and their skin markings and horns remain consistent between the two forms - In order to balance those two forms, Dragonites wear a metal called Scalite- the amount of metal needed to balance themselves can be calculated based on weight and height/length If a dragonite doesn't wear Scalite, they become 'unbalanced' and lose their sense of self

Scalite artifacts like breastplates, earrings, and jewelry are often passed from generation to generation in Dragonite (and Kaiyaoto City) culture~

Inktober Day Three: Annalise takes the same path to work every morning, in Star City, conveniently taking her past her favorite source of caffeine

I plan on posting more about Star City in the future! For now here's a sorta sneak peek lol

even though it's just a bunch of sketches thrown together on one canvas it kinda gives you a good idea of the vibes for these two lol

Annalise is a kinda serious old cop lady who takes her job pretty seriously whereas Ethan's just a college kid that's a bundle of anxiety (for reasons I won't say yet lol)
