Yes! Medusa would be such a cool goddess, she has such a bad rep that she doesn't deserve, I hope she and all her followers have a good day

Medusa as a goddess headcanons

She is the Goddess of victims (thank you, @rey-diem )

Out of all the gods, she is very rebellious and defiant against Zeus and those who follow him.

She didn't immediately become a goddess, but after a long time of self-healing and such, godhood was bestowed upon her

She has a strong hatred for Poseidon and Athena. She also feels sorry for their mortal victims who have caught their attention (same for the mortal victims who have suffered the hands of the other gods)

Medusa would be a maiden Goddess, and her sisters would be at her side.

Obvious tension between Medusa and Athena

She is a hands-on interactive Goddess. She always interacts with her worshippers and her children

She's very protective of her people and children

Hates Poseidon and Athena with a passion and tries to keep her children far, FAR away from theirs

People who have a tattoo of Medusa, she protects and they are her followers

That's all. Hope you enjoy.

"you must be medusa because you make me rock hard" isn't actually a good pickup line depending on how much the person you're talking to knows because while the more modern interpretation of the story is that eye contact with medusa will turn you stone, in older versions she is described as so horrifically disgustingly ugly that looking at her face not only kills you but turns your entire body into solid granite

make sure who you're using this line on doesn't know greek mythology very well

i have almost all of these and the truth is that's not something that cool to have honestly, it's pretty tiring to be honest 💀💀 specially with the lilith and medusa aspecting the ascendant (conjunction and square) combo

Astrology aspect can indicate someone who is attractive but in the same time no body talk to him they are afraid to take close to him/her?

Thanks

{astro placements}

• PLACEMENTS THAT MAKE YOU INTIMIDATING TO YOUR ADMIRERS OR POTENTIAL SUITORS •

🖤 Prominent Lilith (Black Moon) and/or aspecting Personal Placements; Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Ascendant

I cannot stress this enough. Majority of people I know — regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation — have prominent or significant Lilith placements sitting in their birth charts. These natives can ensnare a room full of strangers even in their most haggard days. They're the ones people would stare at, or do a double-take while walking in the streets.

However, people who are more reserved would be intimidated to approach these natives because those admirers know that there's something dangerous and seductive simmering underneath the Lilith natives' outward persona. This is especially true for Lilith-Ascendant, Lilith-Moon, and Lilith-Venus aspects.

🖤 Venus square/opposite/inconjunct Mars

Now, we all know the sex-appeal of natives with Venus-Mars aspects. But there's something overwhelming about the presence of the person with a negatively aspected Venus-Mars. It's like being wounded by a blade you thought had a smooth edge, only to find out it was serrated. This scares or intimidates most admirers, and even the bravest suitor would admit that this native is quite a handful.

🖤 Venus aspecting Jupiter (any aspect; but especially applicable to conjunction)

The reason why a potential suitor or admirer could be intimidated by a Venus-Jupiter native is because the native may be admired by many! If you have this aspect in your chart, either you are aware that you have a lot of "options" to choose from (trine, sextile). On the other hand, you could also be unaware that you are the apple of many admirers' eyes (conjunction, square, opposition). Therefore, a potential suitor may feel as if they don't have a chance to catch your attention, and may not even attempt to let their presence known in the first place.

🖤 Sun/Venus/Mars aspecting Saturn

This one is quite straightforward. Natives with these aspects are intimidating and dominating in nature, whether they are aware or not.

If you have Sun-Saturn aspects, there is seriousness and maturity in your demeanor that most people are not ready for. You date to settle, not to play. And a lot of potential suitors may not even know what they want from you. So, your clean-cut approach can overwhelm them.

If you have Venus-Saturn aspects, this is quite similar to the one above. The difference is that you are very protective of yourself, your energy, and your body. You aren't one to give in to anyone easily. This confuses most of your potential suitors, seeing you as some sort of coquettish tease. But you stand your ground, and don't let them dictate what you should do or feel. This makes them feel that you aren't an "easy target," and may give up. (A big kuddos to you! 😌👏)

If you have Mars-Saturn aspects, the same description from above can be said to you. In addition to that, however, is that you tend to dominate your relationships, and are most definitely not a pushover! You are willing to compromise only to an extent. You aren't one to sacrifice your goals, your comfort, and time to anyone you deem isn't worthy of you. Your standards are very admirable, to be honest.

🖤 Mercury aspecting Venus and/or Mars

This one is self-explanatory. You are intimidating to your admirers or potential suitors because you simply are too smart for them! Your intellectual prowess is overwhelming them, and can make them feel insecure about their own intelligence. Sure, they may call you a know-it-all; but you simply are just out of their league, and they're painfully aware of that. 🤷‍♀️

🖤 Asteroid Medusa (149) negatively aspecting Sun, Mars, and/or Ascendant

With this one, it's quite specific. Asteroid Medusa's lore and effect on a person's birth chart (if negatively aspected) is that the native has the capability to lure admirers, yet leave them in the cold once the native had their fill of what they wanted from the admirers. These natives have the ability to flaunt their beauty — they really are actually aware of their physical appearance — and can play coy with their potential suitors just for the heck of it.

Most people I know with these aspects in their charts are known heartbreakers, and are known to put their suitors through the ring of fire as a way to know if they could handle the heat of these natives' personalities. (Most of the time, the suitors give up).

'Medusa' Angela Hadrill [crop]

This piece was created in response to an amazing talk “Women in Power” by Mary Beard in which, among other things, she discusses the origins of the medusa myth and its depictions in modern design.

You can listen to the talk here: https://youtu.be/VGDJIlUCjA0?t=33m23s

"There are many ancient variations on Medusa’s story. One famous version has her as a beautiful woman raped by Poseidon in a temple of Athena, who promptly transformed her, as punishment for the sacrilege, into a monstrous creature with a deadly capacity to turn to stone anyone who looked at her face. (...) This is the classic myth in which the dominance of the male is violently reasserted against the illegitimate power of the woman. And Western literature, culture and art have repeatedly returned to it in those terms. The bleeding head of Medusa is a familiar sight among our own modern masterpieces, often loaded with questions about the power of the artist to represent an object at which no one should look." Beard, 2017

Medusa is constantly being depicted as object rather than subject, as a decapitated head rather than a powerful woman. She is reduced, both literally and figuratively, to a faceless being that can't be looked at and that has had their agency stripped away from them.

The narrative should be changed. She wasn't alone, she had two equally strong sisters. Being transformed was not her curse, it was a representation of her strength. She wasn't a monster, she was powerful and it was that which was feared.

Came Across An Old Piece That I Never Finished.  It Had An All-out-epic Battle Going On, But I Think
Came Across An Old Piece That I Never Finished.  It Had An All-out-epic Battle Going On, But I Think

Came across an old piece that I never finished.  It had an all-out-epic battle going on, but I think I'll trim it down to three key players for now.  It's fun to revisit and refurbish old ideas.  :]

Still have a ways to go!

[close-up] - I was seriously cursing out loud as I was putting that poor guy in that situation.   He's pretty screwed.

But his brother(?) is screaming "Nuuuuuuuu!  Broooottthhherrr!"

But he has no legs. How does he hope to save him?  How did he even launch himself in the air?  Through brotherly love that's what.  True bro-mance.

Idk if anyone has pointed this out before (probably has) but like. Have you ever stopped to think about the fact that Anya's child is represented by a horse and in the Greek mythos, Medusa actually birthed Pegasus after the whole ordeal with Poseidon.

Anyways, I don't know a whole lot about mouthwashing 🤠

Bro wait if the problem with dealing with Medusa is that you can’t look in her eyes just send an autism to get her like we already suck at looking in non-gorgons eyes we’ll be fine.

Walking into the cave of doom like “dang there’s a ton of statues here” and some creature slithers up like “FOOLISH MORTAL” and you’re like “oh shit hi your scales are pretty” literally looking everywhere *except* your eyes right now.
