The thing is Jovial is no longer Jovial, she was cast into hell after Garbage Bin won the last pre-tourney race. Her soul is still in hell, and Fearsome Fate is controlling the body and thus is not going to think abt the implications of doing such a thing. Did she ever know about Jovial and Lightning/Yellow's relationship?
But also, my theory is that Yellow aka Lightning after getting into the winners bracket realised that Jovial was not the same, and decided to throw the rest of the chances she had to get into the grand finals in order to be with Jovial again at least in soul.
Wonder how Jovial’s gonna explain getting clapped by Knifemare in the Grand Finals
