i call it project VICE and it's basically about the characters falling for their vices, like 2d's drug addiction and murdoc's alcohol consumption. it's based on concepts of fear and uncertainty pushing an individual to become their worst self, and having to actively fight to become better! may refine later if people like it enough

….so I’ll add this to the Mermaid au pile 

Explanation : this is a short story, Murdoc is the captain of a pirate ship (the Captain Nemo) until one day he was kicked off his own ship by his own crew (because no nobody liked him and just being a crappy captain XD) thrown out with only the clothes on his back and tiny boat. Lucky for him a Mermaid has been following his ship because it left a fascinating trail of trinkets (beer bottles, old cigars and if he's lucky some stray coins)

Anyways! It’s just about Murdoc and 2D alone at sea! Will they kiss???
