THE AMOUNT OF TRAUMA AND SHIT THEY HAD TO GO THROUGH IS HEARTBREAKING
I'M LEARNING ABOUT THE TREATY OF VERSAILLES AND I FEEL SO BAD FOR GERMANY
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAđđ
Why does he look like heâs saying âWoe is meâ đ
Anywho, this took me 4 hours to do lmao. I imagine Italy as actually very maniacal, heâs sad because he has no war crimes to commit. He pretends to be stupid so that he can get away with the things he does. Heâs actually very self aware. Just a little headcanon of mine.
(Francesco es un nombre comĂșn en Italia, tambiĂ©n es el nombre de nuestro Santo PatrĂłn. Como italiana, nunca he oĂdo antes* de âFelicianoâ);
DejĂ© el mismo apellido escogido por Himaruya sĂłlo porque âVargasâ es un apellido italiano existente. (Si quieres saber, es realmente el nombre de jugador de fĂștbol);
Alemania= Ludwig Schmidt
(Solamente cambiĂ© el apellido, pienso que Schmidt es mĂĄs comĂșn en Alemania y suena similar al original);
JapĂłn= Daisuke Honda (Kiku es un nombre simbĂłlico, realmente hermoso y raro, pero he pensado en darle a JapĂłn un nombre comĂșn. Honda es un apellido japonĂ©s famoso, nada que decir acerca de eso);
USA= George F. Jones (El apellido asĂ estĂĄ perfecto, supongo. George es por George Washington y F. se queda por el mismo segundo nombre* que Kennedy);
UK= Arthur Thompson (No estaba segura sobre este. La primera vez pensĂ© acerca de nombrarlo como âOliverâ debido a su popularidad y por Oliver Twist, o âJohnâ. Pero entonces me di cuenta que Arthur estĂĄ bien y es simbĂłlico tambiĂ©n. AsĂ que he cambiado el apellido. Kirkland era bastante anĂłnimo y querĂa algo que pudiera sonar mĂĄs britĂĄnico);
Francia= François Bonnefoy
(Solamente transformĂ© âFrancisâ, la cual es la versiĂłn inglesa del nombre, en François, bastante usado y âfrancĂ©sâ);
Rusia= Ivan Vasilyev (ÂĄBraginski era un apellido polaco! He escogido algo que aĂșn sonaba como âBranginskiâ, pero que a la vez fuese un verdadero apellido ruso);
China= Yao Wang (No encontrĂ© nada para cambiar aquĂ);
España= Antonio Fernandez GarcĂa; (Antonio estaba bien, tambiĂ©n FernĂĄndez es popular. Solamente he removido Carriedo para reemplazarlo con GarcĂa, el cual se utiliza en gran parte de España/paĂses hispanohablantes);
Prusia= Gilbert Schmidt (Gilbert era perfecto, solamente cambié el apellido);
Austria= Roderich Amadeus Wagner (Roderich estaba bien. He agregado âAmadeusâ por Mozart y cambiĂ© el apellido a âWagnerâ, siendo todavĂa un nombre de compositor. La combinaciĂłn de estos tres me da me una impresiĂłn de nobleza);
HungrĂa= ĂgnĂšs HorvĂĄth (La renombrĂ© totalmente. ĂgnĂšs no sĂłlo es tierno*, sino que tambiĂ©n poco usado, creo. EncontrĂ© que HorvĂĄth es uno de los apellidos mĂĄs comunes en HungrĂa);
Belarus= NataĆlia ArĆoĆskaja (Lo dejo como estaba; pero cambiĂ© la forma en que estaba escrito*);
Egypt= Muhammad Hassan Al-Nur; (Okay, Muhammad y Hassan son muy populares entre nombre ĂĄrabes, asĂ que los dejĂ© asĂ. Pero encontrĂ© que Gupta era un apellido hindĂș y que la letra âpâ no existe en arĂĄbe. Entonces hice una lista de apellidos lindos y, al final, Al-Nur fue el ganador por encima del resto);
Estonia= Eduard Tamm (Tamm es bastante comĂșn);
Finlandia= Timo HĂ€mĂ€lĂ€inen (Tino realmente no era un nombre finlandĂ©s, pero TiMo sĂ. HĂ€mĂ€lĂ€inen es mĂĄs comĂșn y una buena alterativa para VĂ€inĂ€möinen, que no es un apellido real);
Grecia= Îlexandros Ypsilanti; (Alexandros es un buen, conocido y elegante nombre. Alexandros Ypsilanti es tambiĂ©n el nombre de un hĂ©roe nacional, durante la guerra de la independencia de Grecia);
Letonia= Raivis Liepa; (Raivis sà era un nombre letón, asà que ¿Por qué no conservarlo as Solamente cambié el apellido, Galante es en realidad un apellido italiano);
Lituania= Laurynas Valaitis (CambiĂ© todo aquĂ para hacerlo realista, pero tambiĂ©n para que sonara similar a âToris Laurinaitisâ);
Polonia= Feliks Ćukasiewicz (Es normal justo como estĂĄ);
Sealand= Peter Thompson (Sólo cambié el apellido);
Corea del Sur= Kim Yong Soo (Tal y como estaba);
Suiza= Noah Schweizer (Noah se usa comĂșnmente en todos los cantones, y el apellido suena germano);
First Name, Second Name, Last Name George           F.                Jones
A mi parecer. Gusto personal.
Hello everyone! Letâs talk about it: one of the most annoying issues about Hetalia are *drum roll* the NAMES, people. Charactersâ names/surnames, yes. So, with my friend, I wanted to give them a more ârealisticâ trait, starting with my nationâs one, Italy. I tried to change ONLY canon names, not those who are not decided yet (such as Belgiumâs or Ukraineâs, for example). Some of them remained unchanged, because of specific reasons, but I would be glad if all of you could help me with your home country. Letâs begin!
N.Italy= Francesco Vargas (Francesco is a common name in Italy, also is our St. Patronâs name. As an italian, Iâve never head before of âFelicianoâ);
S.Italy= Salvatore Vargas (Salvatore is a typical southern name, very common in South Italy. Also here, Lovino is not an italian name.)
I left the same surname chosen by Himaruya just because âVargasâ is an existent italian surname. (If you want to know, itâs actually the name of a football player);
Germany= Ludwig Schmidt (Only changed the surname here, I think Schmidt is more common in Germany and its sound is similar to the original surnameâs one);
Japan= Daisuke Honda (Kiku is a symbolic name, really beautiful and rare, but Iâve thought to give Japan a common name. Honda is a famous japanese surname, nothing to say about it);
USA= George F. Jones (The surname isperfect as it is, I guess. George is for George Washington and F. stays for the same Kennedyâs second name );
UK= Arthur Thompson (I was insecure about his name. At the first time I thought about bames as âOliverâ, because of his popularity and because of Oliver Twist, or âJohnâ. But then I realised that Arthur is good and symbolic as well. So, Iâve changed the surname. Kirkland was pretty anonymous and I wanted something that could have sounded more british);
France= François Bonnefoy (Only transformed Francis, which was the english version of the name, in François, very used and âfrenchâ);
Russia= Ivan Vasilyev (Braginski was a polish surname! Iâve chosen something that still sounded like âBraginskiâ, but at the same time was a real russian surname);
China= Yao Wang (I didnât found anything to change here);
Spain= Antonio Fernandez GarcĂa; (Antonio was good, also Fernandez is popular. Iâve only removed Carriedo in order to replace it with GarcĂa, which is largely used in Spain/countries with a spanish toungue);
Prussia= Gilbert Schmidt (Gilbert was perfect, only changed the family name);
Austria= Roderich Amadeus Wagner (Roderich was ok. Iâve added âAmadeusâ, because of Mozart and changed the surname in âWagnerâ, still a composerâs name. The combination of this three names gives me some sort of nobility impression);
Hungary= ĂgnĂšs HorvĂĄth (Totally renamed her. ĂgnĂšs is not only cute, but also a bit used, I guess. I found HorvĂĄth to be one of the commonest surnames in Hungary);
Canada= Matthew Williams (I donât see nothing wrong here, maybe it has to be something francophone in there?);
Belarus= NataĆlia ArĆoĆskaja (Leave it as it was; but changed the way it was written);
Egypt= Muhammad Hassan Al-Nur; (Okay, Muhammad and Hassan are very popular among arabics names, in fact I just leave them to be. But, I found out that Gupta was an Indian surname and also the letter âpâ kinda donât exist in arabic. Soooo Iâve made a list of some cute surname and, at last, Al-Nur won among the others);
Estonia= Eduard Tamm (Tamm is pretty common);
Finland= Timo HĂ€mĂ€lĂ€inen (Tino actually wasnât a finnish name, but TiMo yes. HĂ€mĂ€lĂ€inen is rather common and itâs a good alternative to VĂ€inĂ€möinen, that is not a real surname);
Greece= Îlexandros Ypsilanti; (Alexandros is a good, widespread and elegant name. Alexandros Ypsilanti, is also a national heroâs name, during the greek war of indipendence);
Latvia= Raivis Liepa; (Raivis was an actual latvian name, so why donât keep it? Only the surname changed, Galante was an italian one);
Lithuania= Laurynas Valaitis (Iâve changed everything here, in order to make it realistic, but also to make it sound like âToris Laurinaitisâ as well);
Poland= Feliks Ćukasiewicz (It is just normal as it is);
Sealand= Peter Thompson (Only changed his family name);
S.Korea= Kim Yong Soo (Just as it was before);
Sweden= Gustav Lindström (Gustav was the name of many swedish kings. Lindström is commonly used, I think.)
Switzerland= Noah Schweizer (Noah is commonly used in all the cantons, the surname has a german sound);
Turkey= Sadık Adnan (Almost the same. The name is written in turkish)
IF ANYONE HAS ANYTHING TO SAY/ADD/ERASE/CORRECT PLEASE, YOUâRE WELCOME! IâD LOVE YOUR HELP. DISCLAIMER! The post will be updated every time if needed.
Poll of the week! Maybe next week I'll do something similar with the Nordics or the Germanics
âšHow could I decline when you asked so nicelyâš
~~~
-When you go to Ludwig asking for help becoming stronger, he tries his best to help you (even though he's a bit awkward in doing so at times.)
-He started inviting you to work out with Japan and Italy, though he gives you slightly harder workouts then them.
-He always says that it's necessary to help you become stronger (though you swear that the extra minute he added when y'all were doing planks wasn't needed).
-He fears that if he isn't harsh with Your workouts that you won't be able to defend yourself against other nations or if someone was to attack you, and you could feel and that scares him to no end.
-Though he makes up for the workouts by helping you with your everyday life.
-Whether it be moving some of your furniture around in your office, taking care of your pets for you while your away on business meetings (totally doesn't give your pets two treats when you said to give one), organizing papers or just helping you get out of your office when youve spent the last week in it, sending a text to see if you were ok when you miss a meeting, and genuinely cares about your well being (asking you if you've eaten enough or had a good nights rest).
-He honestly just wants the best for you.
~~~
-work? What's that? By Venezianos standards you've been work too much!
-Veneziano is the guy to physically DrAg you out of your office to accompany him in, just whatever has gotten his attention!
-And how can you say no when he gives you the absolute Cutest puppy dog eyes you've ever seen.
-One day y'all would be painting each other in the park, or going to a wine tasting festival, or just driving ("speed limits, who she?) in his car with the hood down and probably speeding just because their was a sale that ended in 10 minutes and y'all just HaD to go to!
-It's like all your worries go away when your with him, why would you ever leave his side!
-Hes always been the flirty type and that just goes to the max when he's with you. Always complementing you on your outfit, noticing the little details about yourself, like the new pair of shoes you wore that day, if you painted your nails, and even if you changed/started wearing perfumes.
-Why would you ever hang out with anyone else! He's so fun to hang out with that you canât imagine being away from him!
~~~
-You'd never have guessed you've would have become such good friends with the quiet country of Japan.
-You two first met when you accidentally walked into him with a bunch of papers causing them to fly everywhere. Your embarrassment only increased ten folds when he started to help you even though you told him it was fine.
-After that you started to notice him more and more in world meetings, guess you didn't really pay attention to the people around you or you just needed new eyes.
-You didn't really know how to start a conversation with him since he seemed so closed off from everyone.
-But when you were sitting outside an ice cream pallor in one of your major cities, you happen to notice Kiku taking a picture of your national flowers that were displayed! You almost scared him so much when you came up behind him that he almost dropped his camera on the ground!
-You decided to give him a proper tour of the city since who could do it better then the country themselves!
-You ended up breaking the ice between the two of you and Kiku started to warm up durring the tour.
-Talking about hobby's and about why he chose to visit your country, it was just a fun evening for the two of you with him promising to give you a tour of one of his cities in the future!
-The two of you became closer then ever with him putting cute Polaroid pictures on your seat at meetings.
-After time passed you started to see your friends less and less with your time being taken up with Kiku wanting to take you to see some more landmarks at his home.
-When was the last time you hanged out with one of your friends again?
~~~
-You couldn't tell if he hated you or liked you? It was hard for you to even tell at this point.
-Whenever you tried to talk to him he alway brushed you off or ignored you completely.
-You didn't remember saying anything mean to him when you tried talking to him, and it didn't matter if you tried to be extra nice when you talked to him either. He always got mad at you for some little reason that didn't make any sense to you.
-And then he would just turn around and get angry and call you an idiot for caring large boxes around, and so he had to take his precious time to carry them for you. But then he flipped out when it was Frances boxes that you were helping him out with, now he was yelling and calling you both idiots.
-It was confusing to say the least.
-His bipolar attitude was starting to tire you out to the point were you couldn't even deal with him anymore.
-Then it seemed like he was genuenly hurt when you actively started ignoring him in meetings, like he hasn't done that to you.
-You just can't understand him and you're Sure he doesn't understand you either.
~~~
-Now meet the master of running off and probably doing something illegal.
-Your first met the trouble maker when you asked him were his brother was, he asked you why and you said you wanted to start working out with the axis. He then loudly exclaimed that he would be a better trainer for you then his brother could be!
-So you started to work out with him instead and god if you though Germanys workouts were harsh. you have N O idea.
-When your done with your daily hour training with him you practically can't feel any of your muscles! He'll force you to train with him on weekends too, and he means it when he says your showing up to train.
-If your not hospitalized, ill or aliens have landed on earth, then theres training to be done!
-Don't even get me started on when he caught you eating a piece of cake and screamed "That's thirty more push-ups at tomorrow's practice C/N!!"
-Sundays and Thrusdays are the only says that you get off and you mostly spend your training time sleeping or doing paper work.
-You can't even recall the horror you showed when he said that you should train with him for two hours a day and if you needed to do work you could workout AND do work at the same time (Just imagining having to go a 3 minute plank while having to sign off official papers left you with nightmares, and that's excluding Prussia screaming in your ear)!
-But you do have to give him credit that the hell he puts you through shows in how your muscles have become more difined, much to your surprise.
-He does make up for the Harsh treatment he does to you by showing you with praise and taking you out to eat afterwards.
-Though it seems like the more time you spend or talk with your friends, he always just adds a little more in your workouts (much to your horror) .
-You still don't know why he doesn't like your friends that much and wants you to spend more time with him at practice.
'Paint this world'
North Italy
Now the penny has sunk in for me, Germany has really always been alone and will be for longer
This is a snippet of a long one-shot Iâm writing, imagining what would have happened if Germany was definitely not HRE and in fact now a day there were 3 Germanic brothers: Prussia, HRE and Germany (Iâm NOT trying to be historically accurate here by any means). HRE would have gone back to Italy, and Germany would have met Italy as âhis brother boyfriendâ.Â
âGood Morning Germanyâ a musical, energetic voice grated against his ears, and Germany winced as he walked in the kitchen, realising the only other nation already awake in the house was North Italy.
Unusual, as the Italian was usually the last one up when he slept over.Â
Italy seemed to be cooking breakfast. The entire kitchen had a mouthwatering smell of croissants, there was a jar of Nutella on the counter, and the Southern European Nation was working on some scrambled eggs.Â
âGood Morning Italyâ He replied politely, trying his best to not show how much he regretted walking in the kitchen at that very moment.
âWould you like some eggs?â Italy asked, adding what looked like bacon (Pancetta his brain corrected him, Italians do not eat bacon) to the eggs.
Germany wanted to say no, and was about to, when his stomach made a loud grumble. The food smelled amazing. Italy was not a perfectionist in many things, but damn he could cook anything.Â
Italy laughed at the sound. Musically, wonderfully, lifting his amber eyes to meet Germanyâs light blue ones. A beautiful smile lit up his whole face. Germany immediately moved his gaze away from him. He could feel his cheeks starting to redden.Â
Italy did not wait for an answer, and quickly grabbed a plate from the kitchen cabinets to serve the German some eggs. Somehow he even pulled out freshly squeezed apple juice. âMy favoriteâ Germany thought bitterly. He hated how the Italian knew him so well. But how could he not? He practically lived at their place.
âHere we goâ Italy pushed a plate of perfectly scrambled eggs with pancetta and cheese, a piece of fresh baked bread and a glass of apple juice towards him.
Germany sat by the marble kitchen counter, eyes still avoiding the Italian at all cost.
âDanke schönâ he murmured, starting to eat. Delicious.Â
âWhy are you up so early?â He asked, sounding more accusatory than he meant to. Italy did not seem to mind his tone.
âYour brother has been working so hard this past month. He has been so busy managing all the EU meetings and the upcoming Holiday events⊠I wanted to spoil him on his first day offâ Italy replied sweetly, turning on the heat under the coffee moka. âIâll bring him his favorite breakfast in bed to start the day rightâ
Germany felt his own throat tighten, and he drank the apple juice quickly to think of any answer. âThatâsâŠâ He struggled for words â⊠niceâ he concluded uncertainly. Gosh was he always this lame in the morning? âI hope soâ Italy beamed, like he just complimented him with great enthusiasm rather than the monotone he used instead. The moka whistled. Italy poured 3 cups of espresso, putting one next to Germanyâs apple juice.
âWell Iâm off! Have a great runâ Italy wished him warmly, pulling out the croissants from the oven and setting all the ready food on a platter before starting to head out of the kitchen.
Germany did not reply, but let his gaze linger on the retreating form of the Italian.
Really those short pyjama pants did nothing to hide his lean, long legs.Â
Lean, long legs that were walking straight to his brotherâs bedroomâŠ
He swallowed a piece of bread, feeling himself blush again and forcing his gaze back to the eggs.
He was not hungry anymore. Let me know what you think. PS- English is NOT my first language. I welcome all grammar correction as long as youâre polite about it ;)
