how toji takes care of you

you had been lying in bed all day, which isn’t too out of the ordinary. but, it was 3pm in the afternoon, and you still had yet to get out of bed. toji immediately picked up on your unusual lack of energy. he figured you may just be tired from the stressful week you had, so he decided to just let you rest for the time being while he went to the gym.

when toji returned home, he quietly made his way up to your bedroom. he peeked his head into the room just to see if you had moved at all. you were still curled up in the same spot, mindlessly scrolling through your phone. he wasn’t sure if he should let you be, or try to talk to you. that’s when he got an idea. a playful smirk danced on his lips before he jumped and plopped on top of you.

“ugh toji you’re all sweaty,” you complained,”get off.” you tried wiggling out from under his weight, but it was no use. toji chuckled softly, feeling somewhat proud that he finally got you to look away from your phone. “not until you tell me what’s up with you today.”

“i don’t know…just feel off today,” you mumble. you feel toji roll off you and onto the bed next to you. “i’m sorry mama,” he said softly, propping his head up with his hand, so he could look at you. he has never been super good at comforting words, but you knew he cared about you.

your body instinctively curled up to his. toji let his body completely relax, so you could lay more comfortably next to him. your head rested on his chest. his steady heartbeat calming you. “wanna talk about it?” he asked, wrapping his arms around you. “not really,” you replied, fiddling with the hem of his shirt.

toji hummed in response, letting the comfortable silence settle around the both of you. his large hand massaged your scalp as you allowed your body to melt into his. you two laid like that for quite a while until the sound of your stomach growling interrupted the silence.

“you eaten anything today mama?” toji questioned. you shook your head in response, feeling slightly embarrassed that you hadn’t taken care of yourself at all today. he looked at you and clicked his tongue, sitting up now. “cmon mama you gotta take care of yourself,” he feigned annoyance. he acted upset, but he liked being able to take care of you once in awhile.

“c’mere, let’s cook you some food.” he slipped his arm under your legs, holding you in a bridal carry. toji held your body close to his as he carried you to the kitchen. he carefully set you on the counter next to the stove. he started the rice before taking some meat out of the fridge. he sliced it into thin pieces before putting it in the pan. you watched your big buff boyfriend diligently cut carrots and onions before adding them to the pan.

“you’re staring mama,” toji chuckled, glancing at you. the scar on the corner of his lips, stretching as he did so. “what? can i not admire my boyfriend?” you retorted.

‘never said that.” his smile growing even big before placing a kiss on your lips. it was gentle and sweet unlike his typical kisses. you blushed, trying to hide your face from him with your hands. he pulled your hands away from your face, giving you another sweet kiss.

“no need to hide from me baby,” he said softly, brushing your hair behind your ear. “i know,” you replied quietly, looking up at him. he stood between your legs before wrapping you in his embrace. being in toji’s arms made every worry disappear. “you know i love you right?” he asked. you nodded your head against his chest. “i love you too” you smiled.

“there’s that pretty smile,” toji grinned. unbeknownst to you, your smile was his favorite thing about you. butterflies filled his stomach every time you smiled at him. his words made your smile grow. “now open up.” he held a piece of meat with chopsticks, bringing it to your mouth. you ate it without complaint. the flavors exploded on your tongue.

“wow that’s really good. i didn’t know you were a master chef,” you joked. he shrugged his shoulders before feeding you another piece of meat. “hidden talent of mine.”

toji ended up feeding you the rest of your food. not because he didn’t think you were capable of doing so, he just made him feel better doing it. “thank you for taking care of me,” you said, pressing a kiss on his lips. a blush dusted across toji’s cheeks as the goofiest, loving smile spread across his face. “anytime mama.”
