big strong dumb guy isnt actually stupid, and kind of hates that people think he is

callous older character is actually incredibly caring in her own, slightly abrasive way, and proves she keeps an eye out for everyone

edgy loner rogue is actually very tired of being alone and craves connection to a dangerous degree

the naive young child isnt actually naive at all, they understand the danger they are in, and they understand the danger the others are in because of them

the guide themselves is lost and just as scared and the protagonist.

On the one hand we’ve got panels with both visible and seemingly uninjured:

And on the other there are panels where they wear the eyepatch (notably on the left eye) (also there are some others but these are the clearest shots):

And then there’s the panel where their eye seemed to be injured from a fight (but that’s their right eye!!!):

I know it’s probably just minor inconsistencies in a comic from early development of the character or subtly showing the loops through smaller changes but I’m curious if there’s a community census.

bigggg fan of characters who died before their arc completed. who never got that happy ending. bonus points if they come back but it’s not the same and never will be
