Landing the final blow
Drew up some quick resources I can use for prototyping The Crazy Idea (aka, Dess makes a friendship-themed Kirby visual novel) to see if the systems I want (morning/noon/night, days of the week, friend levels, picnics, gift-giving) are going to be doable for me or not.
Also, coming up with expressions was a fun challenge! (Which is good if I'll be doing this x40 later on...)
I've always been a bit unsatisfied with how Adventure Time dropped Finn's desperation to find other humans. Like, yeah I know they sort of brought it up again with Islands, but here's the thing: you're telling me that Finn-- the boy who got that excited about Susan maybe being human-- wouldn't go nuts over Betty's introduction to Ooo?????
I think a more satisfying arc for both Finn and Betty would've been Finn seeking her out to ask all these questions about Human Things he's never been able to ask anyone before (especially since this takes place after his and Flame Princess' breakup)!! And he would want to help her in her quest to bring Simon back-- at least, until he starts becoming torn between the morality of it and his selfish desire to be around more humans.
uuUUAUGHGHH just imagine how fabulous the conflict would've been đ¤đ¤
Veevee power ~ âď¸
Iâm working on an SV bad end AUâ the professors never get divorced and the protag never moves to Paldea, so we end up with paradox pokemon running all over the place and a few very angry rivals. Nemona, who never found a true rival and felt misunderstood and stifled always having to hold back, is recruited by Sada to protect this ânew paradiseâ where she can fight all the strong opponents she wants and never have to hold herself back. Penny, who was expelled along with the rest of Team Star and now resents Paldean society, is recruited by Turo to help in tearing down the old and replacing it with a newer, better system
In other words: be gay do crime, the AU
