Alright, I’ve never shared the backstory of my comic idea with Rantanplan anywhere, but the time has come.

I came up with the idea of creating my own AU featuring Zorglub and Champignac, with the addition of Rantanplan from Lucky Luke.

In my universe, Zorglub and Count Champignac are very close, living together in the same mansion, and Zandra has to put up with both of them. Rantanplan joined them after the events of this comic — behind the scenes, Zandra was the one who forced them to take the dog in, and the kind-hearted Champignac allowed him to stay.

And so, the four of them live together.

The third sketch is a parody of Cruella from 101 Dalmatians. Maybe I'll refine one of the sketches — this one has a high chance.

Hazbin Hotel Theory:

Alastor's soul is owned by Lilith to look after Charlie

"I'm hungry to freedom like never before. The constraints of my deal surely have a back door. Once I figure out how to unclip my wings, guess who will be pulling all the strings" - Episode 8

"It has been an age since thou hath graced us with thy presence. Some hath spun wild tales of you falling into...holy arms?" - Zestial, Episode 3

Alastor hasn't been seen in hell for 7 years and Charlie mentions she hasn't spoken to her mother in 7 years either (beginning of episode 1).

"Adam is dead. Your deal is done and I'm in charge now. Your brat is threatening the very foundation of heaven. And if you want to stay here, you're going down there and stopping that bitch. You understand me, Lilith?" - Lute, Episode 8

Alastor immediately having beef with Lucifer stepping in to support Charlie. Lucifer's involvement would also reduce the amount of influence Alastor/Lilith could have on Charlie.

This jab in particular during 'Hell's Greatest Dad' stands out to me because Lilith & Lucifer are separated at this point. Maybe Alastor is dissing Lucifer for not being there for Charlie. All the while, Alastor was involved heavily in the Hotel project, even if that was just by Lilith's demands.

Alastor: Well, it looks as though I need a visit to the tailor. Best of luck chums!"

Vaggie: Wait, you're leaving?! Alastor, we need your help. We need you to do your job.

Angel: We need a wall.

Alastor: Of course. Can't let my new project fall into disrepair already! What would the papers say?

This last piece may be a stretch - Alastor is on his way to the tailor but still pauses to fix the hotel. How obligated is Alator to keep the hotel in top condition? (Episode 2)

"So then why do you want to help me if you don't believe in my cause?" - Charlie, Pilot

With that radio scratch, maybe Charlie struck a nerve by asking. Alastor was pretty clear that redemption wasn't possible - the nonexistent humanity. Is 'personal entertainment' a cover-up for being forced to help the hotel?

Given the hierarchy of Hell in the hellaverse, there aren't many who could put Alastor in a place of vulnerability or provide services that he cannot do for himself (strike a deal, then). Lilith would have the power to keep Alastor in bonds and may have a motive in keeping an anonymous eye on her daughter.

I came up with a lot of headcanons, but the funniest one is that Starscream is that fashionable old man who would ask Miko, Raph and Jack: “How do you do, fellow kids?”, stands in front of them with a new smartphone that Megatron bought for him. As for Soundwave, no one knows whether he is mute or just taciturn. Shockwave is the master of his dragonets, which are not too big (yet). Predaking is his favorite.

I watched the new Helluva Boss episode last night and TFP one, and THIS was born.

In my AU based on the Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, Megatron is a fairly wealthy bounty hunter who first met Starscream at Valentino's club. Starscream himself is the prince of Goetia, exiled from there as a result of participating in political conspiracies. Having lost his former powers, Starscream sold himself to Valentino as a result of defeat but sever years after these ivents Megatron bought bird demon out. Starscream changed his master, but he does not lose the opportunity to get rid of imp in order to gain freedom. Until then, Starscream has to carry out Megatron's orders, whatever they may be.

While I’m working on a big Spirou crossover — which is why I haven’t posted anything for about a week — I thought I’d share the story of how I first discovered Zorglub.

Actually, Zorglub isn't a new character to me. Many of my followers might think that my hyperfixation on him started this spring, but that's not the case at all. The first drawing of Zorglub dates back to February 28, 2018. I was in my second year at a linguistics college at the time, so I dreamed of one day learning French and reading comics with him in the original language. I had seen the Spirou & Fantasio cartoon on the “Carousel” russian channel back when I was still in school.

Officially, you could say I’ve known Zorglub for seven years, and this year I decided to return to the character now that my drawing skills have improved.
