Previous drabble

During the first few months of your stay at the cult, you leave often.

Suguru was not a fan of this but tried to let you do what you wanted. He needed to let you drop your guard more, he needed your trust so he could keep you here with him and the girls forever.

But after two weeks of you leaving every other day his resolve snaps.

You are getting ready to go out with friends, the ones that were left anyway. His heart did soften as he saw your smiling face. Then he resolves himself to gently guide you in the right direction.

He doesn’t want to have to scare you like this but sadly some lessons have to be learned.

You only make it to the marble stairs when you feel something wrong. It was a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach. Looking around you try to see if the spirits you thought were gone are back.

A garbled noise has you looking down to see a figure of a mangled woman clawing up the steps to you. She is covered in blood and is a mess of rotting flesh.

A scream tears out of your throat as you run back into the cult. Your heart pounds in your chest as you sprint to the one person you know can help you.

Suguru comes into view and you practically fling yourself into his arms. He was in his night clothes but you were too scared to pay any attention to it. He looks distressed by your tear stained cheeks as if he wasn’t the one to scare you in the first place.

He hugs you to his chest and rubs soothing circles into your back as you sob out what happened.

“Come on.” Suguru says in a soft tone and a gentle expression then leads you to his room.

In your tearful state he pulls you into his bed and has your head on the open part of his robe. The skin to skin contact grounds you.

After a while your sobs have faded into small whimpers as you are curled against him in bed.

“I warned you about those spirits that are after you.” He scolds you with an air of sadness, “They can only get to you when you are outside of these walls.”

“I am sorry for not believing you.” You sniffle and look up at him with a soft expression.

“You don’t have to apologise for learning a lesson, Angel.”

You fall asleep in his arms shortly after.

Good thing Suguru is the one to help you because any one else might take advantage of your trusting nature.

Talks of kidnapping

Kitsune!Suguru who has never believed in a higher power before. He knows that spirits exist but nothing other than that. He couldn’t help but laugh when others brought up the notion of a person in the sky who could see your every movement.

Kistsune!Suguru who had scoffed when someone had been talking about a saint who was sent by god himself and could heal the sick. It was pure nonsense that someone could heal others, especially humans.

Kitsune!Suguru who climbs the mountain to the monastery where the supposed saint is. He needs to disprove this myth that people are peddling. Not for others, of course, but for his own gain. Maybe he could pick up his they are pretending to heal people and use it to his advantage.

Kitsune!Suguru who is sceptical when he sees you. He had expected someone much older than you. Someone whose hair has gone white and looks like a sage. But you are completely different from what he expected.

A white kimono is draped over your body and a veil over your face. He feels slightly irritated that your face is hidden from him. The only parts of you he can see are the lower half of your face, your hands and a sliver of collar bone.

Kitsune!Suguru who lets you touch him willingly when you ask. He was never a fan of touch let alone from humans but yours has a calming quality to it.

“What ails you?” Your voice rings out like a bell in the large room.

“My leg.” Suguru answers bluntly, waiting for you to give some sort of tell that you were faking your abilities.

Kitsune!Suguru who is proven wrong as the leg he had injured himself was put back into place. He stares at you in pure disbelief as your hand warms his and your brows scrunch in concentration. His leg is fully healed when you look back up at him with a kind smile.

“Is there anything else that hurts?” You say sweetly to him.

Suguru is tempted to break his leg again to make you heal it. Your light and warmth is addicting. He needs more. His mind thinks of all the ways he could steal you away from here to keep your light all to himself. It would be so easy to get past those monks. Suguru wants more of this new found heavenly light he has found in you, he wants more of you.

And he will do anything to get it.

You wake up slowly. Your body feels so sluggish as you roll over on the mattress. The warmth of the blankets beckon you back to sleep and you almost let yourself fall back asleep.

But you didn’t fall asleep in bed last night.

Opening your eyes slowly you see a dark room. It takes a minute to adjust to the darkness then you see that you are laying in a large black four poster bed. Long black curtains fall down from the top of the frame, shielding you from the rest of the room.

Where are you?

A rustling from outside the curtains catches your attention. You look towards the noise and a voice calls out to you.

“Lady Kore?” A figure gets closer to the bed, “are you awake?”

You shuffle back against the headboard, not knowing who will be behind the curtain. A hand moves the fabric over so he can pop his head inside to look at you.

A boy who is maybe fifteen at most looks over at you. He has dark hair and brown eyes. His eyes have dark circles under them like he has not slept in years. Despite his eye bags his face is kind and he smiles at you.

“I will get My Lord for you!” He says and leaves the room.

You are left alone with more questions than you had a few seconds ago.

Who was his lord? Did he bring you here? If so, why does he want from you?

Soon the sound of heavy footsteps enter the room. You try not to seem afraid of the approaching presence. Squaring your shoulders you watch as a tan hand moves the curtain away from the post to let you see him.

The man from the party looks back at you. Both of you stare at each other for a while, his lavender eyes trace your face as you try to decipher his motive.

“I am sorry for startling you, Lady Kore.” He says and put a hand to his heart and inclines his head. “I found you asleep and brought you to my home to make sure you were alright.”

That makes sense, you passed out against that tree so anyone who was decent would try to make sure you were okay.

“It’s- it’s fine! I was just disoriented by waking up in a bed rather than where I was.” You try to reassure him.

“If you are done sleeping I will not keep you.” He says and reaches out a hand to help you out of the bed.

You study his hand for a minute, debating taking it. Slowly you grab his large hand and he helps you out of the bed. His hand lingers for a few seconds before he withdraws from you.

“Thank you,” You smile at him. “What can I call you?”

He blinks in surprise before grinning,

“Suguru, My Lady.”
