So Gorgeous! I Love This So Much!

I love this series and Silver finally get some love, maybe. Silver is a little whiny dork but I love him anyway. At least Manic kind of likes him even if he can’t remember his name.

 must have broken some Hey Arnold law by making this detailed image of a character like Edmund with my dumb fancharacter over Shortaki or any other better option for Hey Arnold pairs. I don't care! I was inspired to make this before my break was over and gosh darn it this picture just makes me happy. Sure the trees are awful and they look more like cotton candy than actual flowering trees, but I did my best. As usual, there is an actual context for the image. So basically, this is an image you see before you is actually an idea of a scene I would like to do in a fanfiction possibly. Without giving too much away in case I actually go along with this idea; cherry trees are very important to Debora's character and she adores sun showers. So combining the two is a dream spot for her to give a smooch. That's all I'm going to say for the context, but trust me when I say it is a bit deeper than that description. The cherry tree in the background is the same one from the episode, "Stuck in a Tree". So there may or may not be a clumsy, ginger, Jewish boy stuck in said tree... again. Speaking of the episode, credit goes to a frame of the episode that I referenced for the background of this image so my background could be slightly accurate to the source material, give or take a few trees. The title of this piece is a paraphrased version of the term they use for sunshowers in parts of Tennessee (which is where Debora was from before she moved to Hillwood at the age of 5. I think besides the trees, this kiss kind of bugs me as well. I didn't know how to convey Edmund's weird butt lip without making it look like they were slurping each other. So I have to live with the "slurping" look just so people can see that Edmund still has his huge bottom lip. Curse you Edmund and your weird face structure!

I changed Debora's formal/prom dress to something I would be more proud off.

Recently, I wanted to use my fan character's hair's specific complementary color for a palette. So I put her in another, new dress. I decided to make it proposal themed because I just love making cute things. So yeah, just another dress to add to Deb's alternate clothes pile. XD

I'm Sharing My Spotify Wrapped For Fun!

So cool Spotify does this kind of thing! I'm flattered that Spotify thinks I'm an adventurer when it comes to music. I'm mostly always looking for new songs to daydream about my characters and ships I like. The current ship taking my head space obviously being Zeke and Tina from Bob's Burgers. Though I just like looking for new songs in general because it's fun finding new songs to think up scenes for. This is why I mostly listen to Broadway because those songs were made to set up scenes to. Show tunes are also just addicting and catchy too. @suzie-guru These are good drawings and I get your thought process while making these. It also makes sense if you look at the “Once Upon a Time” series where Hades actually had a thing for Zalina (AKA the wicked witch of the west).

All that said, I’m sorry to say I’m not a fan of the color palette (especially when she is in the pink chiton). I know you did this to have her look more like Demeter and that’s fine. It’s just my opinion and these are still good drawings.

I can agree that the Persephone in the movie does not look like somebody Hades would be smitten with and vice versa. She looks too frilly, dolled up, and not like the hippie/emo I would expect Persephone to be.

I had forgotten how much I loved my own take on Persephone for Disney’s Hercules!  I made her coloring similar to their design for Demeter, since mythology states that they looked so similar they were almost duplicates. Again, I have NOTHING against Disney’s original take on Persephone: 

I just wanted to do my own thing and, for the interest of shipping, I really can’t see this version making a serious go of it with Hades. Different strokes for different folks, you do you, as always. 

So, there you have it! I imagine Persephone to be the cooler one between her and her hot-headed hubby, but plenty spirited and full of sass and snark to hold her own with Hades. Yes, that’s a pomegranate she’s holding =)
