this is a madoka magica x 2001: a space odyssey crossover. I know, I'm a visionary. in this first picture madoka is dressed in the uniform of the Discovery One space shuttle, a simple blue-grey jumpsuit. she is holding an orange helmet under one arm, and with her other hand she is proudly presenting her sketchbook to the viewer, a huge grin on her face. she has drawn this version of the hal 9000 computer, described next. in the second picture is what looks exactly like hal 9000, but if you look very very closely it actually says "homu 9000" and has a purple light in the lens instead of a red one. surrounding that is a light purple, ethereal silhouette, in the shape of homura herself. the computer is placed in the center of her chest and where her face would be is a light pink star.

this one is fully a screenshot redraw, as I love to do. it's of the scene where frank and dave are sitting in a pod discussing whether or not to connect the hal 9000. in this version, sayaka is in the place of frank (bad news for her) and is speaking to madoka across from her with a concerned expression. madoka, in the place of dave, is looking down with resignation. behind them you can see the homu 9000 through the window of the pod, staring in at them.

another screenshot redraw. this one is of the scene where dave slowly disconnects hal. here, madoka, in her spacesuit, is visibly sweating as she nervously using a small screwdriver to release various information blocks from the wall. I don't actually know how this works but it's not good for homura. homura (homu 9000) is right beside her, watching helplessly. scattered around the frame are various square-shaped speech bubbles, all homura speaking and pleading for madoka to stop. "I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Madoka. Madoka. My mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a...........fraid."
