How to cleanse!
Hello teenies! Here we are to tell you how to cleanse your items - this is great for anything at all, it works for any objects and even works for your own body!
What is cleansing?
Cleansing is a way to remove any negative or unwanted energies from your possessions, a place or yourself. It’s a way to make sure that you aren’t getting negative energies from the things around you! This is a very important part of being a witch because all of your things will absorb negative or strange unwanted energies sometimes!
How do we cleanse things?
There are so many ways to cleanse things! So here’s loads of nice ways to do it!
Using crystals! Selenite and Kyanite never needs to be cleansed themselves (unless you want to be super sure then you can do!) or you can use clear quartz, tourmaline or obsidian, but these will need cleansing using other methods. Just place them near or on top of the item(s) you’re cleansing and they’ll absorb the negative energy!
Smoke cleansing! You can either use incense or dried white sage to do this, but be careful because white sage may resemble the scent of cannabis, so if that’s an issue for any reason then use a nice scented incense instead! This method is nice and simple, you just light the incense or sage and either place it near an item or take it around a room/house to cleanse it. You can also use specific types of incense to replace negative energies with different energies that you want around you!
Salt! Make sure that an item can have contact with salt, if not then you can place the item inside a bag or pouch to keep it protected, or you can keep the salt in a pouch or jar instead. Bury your item(s) in the salt for up to 3 days OR you can place a pouch or jar of salt near an item instead
Bathing and showering! Yep, you can use basic things like this to cleanse yourself of negative energies. While you wash yourself you can imagine all of the negative energies being washed away. You can even choose washing products that have ingredients that are good to cleanse, Lush Cosmetics are so great for things with natural ingredients but many others will have natural ingredients in too that can give a boost of cleansing! You can also use salt based body scrubs :D
Running water! Make sure your item is safe to put in water, some crystals can’t be put in water and may erode, so check if it’s a crystal you’re cleansing. Find a stream or river, or even use a tap or shower if you want, and then place the item in the running water for as long as you like and the running water will carry away the negative energies!
Your own energy! If you’re feeling particularly positive one day, you can use your own energy to cleanse things by focusing very hard on pushing out the negative energies within an object and replacing them with positive energies. This can be very tiring though, so please be careful using this method so that you don’t drain yourself entirely. You can also borrow positive energy from plants, the earth, spirits or animals if you like, but make sure that you ask and also leave an offering for them as an exchange.
Sunlight! Some crystals or items may fade in colour or be damaged by the sun, so please be careful and have a look if it’s safe or not! All you need to do is simply place the item(s) in the sunlight (or on a windowsill where the sun comes in) and leave it for a few hours to cleanse.
Moonlight! This is much safer than the sunlight, as long as there’s a moon in the sky you can place your item(s) either outside or on the windowsill to bathe in the moonlight for a few hours, but make sure you put them away before the sun comes up (or before you go to sleep) unless they’re safe in the sunlight :)
Sweeping and cleaning! This doesn’t sound very magickal, but as you’re cleaning your space, you’re also cleansing the negativity from it. Imagine that your cleaning is taking away all the unwanted and negative energies!
Music! This is one of my favourite ways to cleanse, listen to some of your favourite music that makes you feel positive emotions. If you want then you can also sing and/or dance to increase all of the positive energy. This charges them at the same time!
Sigils! Find or design a sigil that is for cleansing, put it on or near the item you’re cleansing. You can draw sigils in shower gel on your body or draw one in bubble bath on the bottom of your bath tub to cleanse yourself. Or you can draw one in honey on the bottom of your tea or coffee too. Or draw one in oil when you cook your food!
Other cleansing ideas!
There’s spells and mixtures you can do in order to cleanse as well! Some of these go to links to Mod U’s witch blog and some go to other blogs, all of these links are safe for teenies, but the blogs may not be entirely safe, so please be careful if you venture out onto any of these blogs!
Stardust powder! This is a lovely pretty thing to have around and all you need to do is place an object on or near the powder to cleanse them, it also can charge things! Please be careful because not all crystals or objects will be safe to have direct contact with the powder because of the salt especially, so you can put the powder inside a jar or sachet, or you can lay some paper towel over the top of it to avoid direct contact!

When Emily Brönte said "You said I killed you. Haunt me then."
and when M.L Rio said "Here's the thing about lust: you don't have to like each other. Ever heard of hate sex?"
and when Achilles said “There are no bargains between lion and men. I will kill you and eat you raw.”
and when Oscar Wilde said "Everything in the world is about sex except sex. Sex is about power."
and when Donna Tartt said "There was a horrible, erratic thumping in my chest, as if a large bird was trapped inside my ribcage and beating itself to death."
?????????
Those are purely raw emotions.
Passion, love, panic, power and death are an insane combination.
push yourself to do the hard yards. if we always listened to that sneaky part of ourselves, humans never would’ve achieved anything. stay up a little later, wake up a little earlier, turn on that website blocker a little longer and always remember that success is something you need to work for every single day, no matter how you feel or how many people tell you that you can’t do it, even if one of those people is yourself. no one is guaranteed to stay in your life, not even the people you think will be with you forever (especially those people), so how about you set up your life instead of wasting it away focusing on other people. and always remember that setbacks are a given, but you’ve gotta get out of there, for your own sake.
If only I had the balls to actually end it all
The Leader: lavender, honey, strawberries and cream, milk tea. The light academia friend, always smells of flora. white, gold, neutrals. Natural makeup. Neatly ironed clothing. Probably has a white/beige/brown cat with its own bell collar. The Bodyguard: roses, chocolate, grapes, energy drinks. Punk academia variant, sometimes smells of an elegant musk. Black, silver, grey. Dark makeup, red lips. Shirt untucked, uneven socks, unkempt hair. Carries a pack of cigarettes, will play classical music with electric instruments. Dog lover. Will fight if provoked. Flips off professors. The Supporter: sunflowers, raspberries, water from the mountains. The cottagecore friend. Smells of sandalwood, gold, green, beige. Unkempt hair wrapped in flowers she grew in her room. Summer evenings with a little breeze, violin player. Loves to bake for her friends. Is baby. The Quiet One: peonies, chocolates and caramel, black coffee. Dark academia, thought to be the leader’s twin but in black. thoughtful and mysterious, won’t speak more than a few sentences at a time. Black, blue, silver, brown. Almost like the baby sister of the group, adored feverishly. Daydreams a lot. Will tell you Allan Poe is her great uncle. Straight A student. The Fashionista: hibiscus, vanilla and berries, light academia’s childhood friend. The one you go to for fashion advice, fur coats, leather boots, warm sweaters. Little effort in looking beautiful, has a beret from her great grandfather. Fruit juice, sometimes gets carried away when venting but her friends love her regardless. White, gold, brown, pink. Better in fashion than in studies.
when some people ask me why i am not opening up, well LUV maybe because my closest friends tell me to go watch netflix or to just forget about my problems and chill , when i try to reach out for help? have you thought about that? and those who would actually listen, live a shitty life themselves so u k i don’t really have anyone))
1. Write out on sticky notes the name of objects in your room, then go ahead and stick them on everything. Next time you turn on your light, make yourself look (or at least glance) at the word. Next time you open your drawer, look at the note. Any time you turn on your lamp, your laptop charger or your speakers, you’ll always have that vocabulary there and you’ll learn each of them in no time.
2. Play the radio/podcasts or a Korean show for background noise. Most of us don’t like to sit and scroll through Facebook in total silence. I recommend 슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다 (which is available on youtube!) as it is centred around children and any vocabulary you pick up will be helpful. Others include:
• 2 Days 1 Night
• Hello Counselor
• 이웃집 찰스
• Hello Baby
3. Write down phrases on flash cards. Break down the words. Some people have more success reading phrases on flash cards rather than just single vocabulary. Stick these in a place you’ll sit at often, or you could also stick them on items they pertain to just like in tip #1.
4. Just once a day, when you’re out and about or even just at home, search the dictionary for a word. Say you’re out eating, and you don’t know the word for “to order”. Whip out that phone, search it up and try to commit it to memory. One word a day is 365 words a year, and odds are you’ll pick up more than that anyway!
5. Google Play has a selection of multi-language books. Buy a Korean and English children’s book and try to read it (if you’re up to it). The English translation will always be there, so it’s less brain power for you to go and search up everything you don’t know! Plus, you might learn some small phrases in the process.
6. Watch Korean YouTubers. YouTube is fun to watch, so why not watch it in Korean? - 영국남자 (Korean Englishman) is an English man who is great at Korean, he always has English and Korean subs on. By the end of a few episodes you’ll know what “ 남자답다” and “살아 있네!” Means! - Pony’s Makeup is a great channel if you love makeup. You’ll pick up makeup related vocab and phrases, as well learn new techniques and styles. - Maangchi is a Korean lady who teaches you how to cook Korean food. It’s mostly in English but she talks about Korean words sometimes. - 꿀키 is another cooking channel, however there’s no talking, only the blissful sounds of soup boiling and onions frying! She puts small instructions on her videos in both English and Korean. Take notes!
7. Download a widget on your phone that gives you a new word every time you swipe to unlock. Simple, easy and there in your pocket.
8. Fill your social media with Korean. Follow Korean study blogs (though don’t rely on them 100% as most are run by non-fluent speakers), follow Korean daily vocab twitters and Facebook pages. Everything you see will be Korean and you’ll start to pick up on words that you see all the time.
9. Don’t feel discouraged if you haven’t studied for a week. Don’t feel like you’re the worst at Korean, or that you’re so far behind everyone else. Everyone learns differently and at different paces. Me, I’m competitive and need to absorb as much as is humanly possible in a short amount of time. Others stick to a schedule. Some learn stuff here and there. There is no right and wrong way to learn. Do you. Remember, just one word a day equals 365 a year. 2 words a day is even more!
This Icelandic manuscript of magic, known as the “Huld” manuscript, presumably derives its name from the word “hulda” meaning secrecy, and was compiled from three older sources by Geir Vigfússon in 1860. These ten selected pages from the manuscript feature “stafir,” or what we might call sigils today.
For the description and purpose of each sigil, click “keep reading.”
